Frog in Hand

I'm surrounded by hundreds of frogs where I live.  

In the ponds, in the woods, and in the puddles. Their symphonies are amazing.  

Supposedly all males wooing their consorts. :-)  

This is a sketch I've done for an indigo (woading) or henna design for an 

upcoming journey of mine.  It would be wonderful to do both of my hands, 

but my other hand would look very different.

I've been photographing them for several days.  

My presence doesn't seem to alarm them as much now.

He's very protective of her.  Whenever she calls, he comes flying 

down from the taller pine trees and circles the area.

This is a stump that I love to sit on.  

And it's also where I record nature sounds.

It's beautiful surface is painted with the juice of a pomegranate.

It didn't come together in a way I would like, as a whole.

You can see, I like parts of it.

There was construction going on, so I couldn't go deep in and 

bring thru a more coherent connection.  

I love the process though, and will try again.
